I love the Atonement. Studying it always leaves me with a feeling of comfort and hope. I’m full of mistakes, and the knowledge that my trials won’t last forever, and I can repent of my wrongdoings is so encouraging. In my studying lately, I’ve found several wonderful quotes about the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and so I’ve created a handful of simple handouts containing these quotes. They can all be downloaded in a single .zip folder, which contains each file in two sizes: 4×6 and 4.25×5.5 (quarter sheet) in JPG format (300dpi). Included is also a PDF copy of The Living Christ with a design which is cohesive with the others in this download. Some more may be coming as I find the time and inspiration, but I figured I would share what I’ve made so far so teachers can get a head start on planning their lessons through March. “Obedience is an emblem of our faith in the wisdom and power of the highest authority, even God.”
L. Tom Perry “He sent His Only Begotten and perfect Son to suffer for our sins, our heartaches, and all that seems unfair in our own individual lives.”
Linda K. Burton “He’s not waiting for us to be perfect. Perfect people don’t need a Savior. He came to save his people in their imperfections. He is the Lord of the living, and the living make mistakes. He’s not embarrassed by us, angry at us, or shocked. He wants us in our brokenness, in our unhappiness, in our guilt and our grief.”
Chieko N. Okazaki “It is not possible for you to sink lower than the infinite light of Christ’s Atonement.”
