It’s Young Women in Excellence season once again! For the first time since I was 12, I won’t be attending this event, but I’m still just as enthusiastic about it. It’s always been a fun and meaningful way to celebrate the individual accomplishments of young women. Last year, with the mutual theme “Embark in the Service of God,” a popular theme for New Beginnings and Young Women in Excellence appeared: “Adventure is Out There.”
I think this adorable theme has so many different directions it could go in, which is part of the fun. And this year’s mutual theme “Press Forward” fits in so well. I was already creating an invitation and poster to tie together this theme, and then the icing on the cake was finding the perfect quote from Uchtdorf about the “great adventure of life”.
