Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and good cheer is starting to spread about. I see this as the perfect excuse for doing some Personal Progress! Of course we think a lot about food this time of year, and Personal Progress turns this into a service opportunity. Good Works experience #2 is all about planning and preparing meals with your family, and helping them to gather together for meals. If that doesn’t sound perfect for Thanksgiving, I don’t know what does! The nice thing about this experience is it isn’t a one-time thing, it’s two weeks of helping with meals. Not only do you develop really useful skills, but you come to appreciate the hard work that it takes to care for your family’s needs.
I had lots of fun creating these quick planning sheets. The left column is for planning out the menu, and the right column is to keep a shopping list for these meals. Having something simple like this makes planning a lot easier, which leaves more time for the more important things. There are two sheets, one for each week, with two separate designs, to keep things looking fresh!
Thank you! What a great resource for girls who want to complete this experience!
