One of the (surprisingly) most popular things on this website is the Book of Mormon Goal Setting Chart I shared a long time ago. Because so many people seem to find it so valuable, I’ve decided to create them for the other Standard Works. To me the obvious book to do first was the Old Testament, since that is the book being studied in Seminary this year. The requirement for Seminary is only to read 334 selected chapters, as opposed to the 929 total chapters. I’ve only made the chart for the full length of the Old Testament, but if there’s interest in just the selected readings I can certainly consider it.
929 chapters sounds really daunting, but with the structure of the Old Testament, a lot of the earlier chapters are fairly long, and you can get those crossed off while the momentum is still fresh. And then, if you’ve fallen behind by the time you reach Psalms, then you’re in luck, because 150 chapters are contained in under 100 pages.
I’m personally focusing more on pages than chapters, because of the inconsistent length of the chapters. I usually read to the end of whatever chapter is on that page, leading to getting ahead a couple of pages, which is super nice.
These can be printed in full color or black and white, and come in two sizes. Download here.
